The Permanent Observatory of Design ADI has selected the collection In-Side, designed by Thomas Heatherwick and the low chair Twain, designed by Konstantin Grcic, for publication in the ADI Design Index 2025.

2 full-figure mirrors with embedded shelves come from the experiment of pushing rigid objects against a soft rectangular element. Perfect by the entrance door or in the bedroom.

chair_ONE is the first chair designed by Konstantin Grcic for Magis. Geometric, complex and avant-garde, it has become an icon of contemporary design.
Made by die-casting aluminium, a technology that allows for complex geometries, it uses the material sparingly, placing it only where it is needed for comfort and structural strength.
This engineering masterpiece is 20 years old and, to celebrate it, we have created something extraordinary: 16 unique limited-edition pieces that sit somewhere between design and sculpture, function and fiction – quietly shimmering like sunlight caught on an alien planet.
To present these special chair_ONEs to the public, we have organised a dedicated exhibition, curated by Konstantin Grcic, which will be held from 10 to 26 May at the Giardini Reali in Venice, in Piazza San Marco.
