CELEBRATING GOOD DESIGN

Magis is happy to share that some products from our collection have recently received prestigious achievements.

Each year, the Permanent Observatory of Design ADI publishes the ADI Design Index, which brings together the design projects eligible to compete for the next ADI Compasso d’Oro Award. We are honoured to share that our Trave chair and South collection have been selected for publication in the ADI Design Index 2024 and will thus be competing for the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award 2026.

We are also proud to share that our Twain low chair was prized with the 2024 Archiproducts Design Award in the Furniture category. The Archiproducts Design Awards acknowledge the originality, research and innovation of designs, emphasizing the emotional and functional power of projects. Particularly, they reward products that revolutionize and improve life quality through new materials, shapes or functions.

Coves YA DISPONIBLE

Twain YA DISPONIBLE

Designed by Konstantin Grcic and first presented at Salone del Mobile 2023, today we are happy to announce that Twain is ready to be shipped to you!

Inspired by the Safari chair, Twain offers comfort and practicality altogether. The seat and backrest in self-supporting fabric are hooked to a frame of interlocking spindles in solid beech – held in tension only by a strap and ratchet. Thanks to the leather armrests, seat cushion and backrest cover, this armchair grants an experience of maximum relaxation. The Twain armchair is also available with a matching footrest.

The interlocking structure, free from glues and rivets, and the complete disassemblability allow us to reduce considerably the packaging of Twain when shipping it. This construction method also makes it easier to prolong the product’s life, by replacing individual parts when necessary. Finally, at the end of life, the user can easily separate each material for disposal.“Today, we should think in concepts like that: little material, maximum performance.” (Konstantin Grcic)

Twain comes in eight versions, two of which were developed in collaboration with Dutch designer Hella Jongerius. These feature a draped two-sides cover which creates a connection between seat and backrest.
