Founded in northern Italy as a family-run business, thanks to the ingenuity of visionary Eugenio Perazza, Magis has grown to become a veritable design laboratory for the home, outdoors, office and contract sectors, and is now a globally recognised leader in the design world.

Magis is a Latin word meaning “more”. And this is precisely where its natural drive to experiment comes from, to be more and do more, to go beyond the boundaries of design, as its motto says.

Magis has always believed in emerging talent. And it is together with many of them – now established names on the international scene – that it has grown and experimented, side by side. Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Philippe Starck, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Thomas Heatherwick, Naoto Fukasawa and Marc Newson are just some of the designers who are part of the great Magis family.

Magis has a concrete idea of design, without fear of daring. The continuous search for new languages, ideas and production systems guides the company towards uncompromising design that stands the test of time. Design that gives life not only to quality industrial products, but also to positive relationships with collaborators, customers and partners.

Great attention is paid to design, the choice of materials, technologies and production processes, which vary according to each project. All this with an eye to the past, from which Magis loves to draw inspiration, and another to a sustainable, contemporary and timeless future.

The result is an eclectic and versatile design that enters homes, enlivens public spaces, finds a place in the permanent collections of over 35 museums around the world and has won around a hundred of the most prestigious awards, including six ADI Compasso d’Oro awards, the oldest and most authoritative international design award.

For Magis, an idea must not only be a “good” idea, but must satisfy aesthetics and functionality, today and tomorrow, and above all tell a story, the story of Magis.

A story that takes shape in Italy, in accordance with the highest standards of Made in Italy. The company’s roots are in Motta di Livenza, a small town in the heart of the Veneto region. It is here that the challenge of design and the desire to create a place of authentic creativity was born, which since 2010 has had a new home in Torre di Mosto.
