Exhibitions and events

Magis will also play a key role in various other events during Design Week, including:

  • the 9th edition of the Triennale Design Museum, entitled “W. Women in Italian Design” (with products developed by Benedetta Mori Ubaldini for the Me Too collection), running from April 2016 till February 2017 as part of the XXI International Exposition at the Milan Triennale, titled “21st Century. Design after Design”;
  • the Sempering exhibition (with EUR modular bookcase, design Giulio Iacchetti) promoted by the Milan Triennale, again as part of the Milan Triennale’s XXI International Exhibition, running from 2 April till 12 September 2016 at MUDEC (Museum of Cultures) in Milan;
  • the project “Le vie del Compasso d’Oro” [the paths of the Compasso d’Oro award] developed by ADI Lombardia, exploring the products that have won or been shortlisted for the Compasso d’Oro award from 1954 to the present day. The Magis Showroom at Corso Garibaldi 77 will thus be part of this journey to discover the Compasso d’Oro, with the company’s three products that have been bestowed this prestigious accolade (Trioli in 2008, Steelwood Chair in 2011 and Spun in 2014);
  • the Fuorisalone exhibition/event (with tables and stools from the Officina collection, design Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec) held by Ingo Maurer at the evocative venue that is the deconsecrated church of San Paolo Converso in Piazza S. Eufemia, Milan;
  • the Samsung Fuorisalone event dedicated to the new product from Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Samsung, in the Art Gallery at Superstudio in Zona Tortona, Milan;
  • the “The Art of Living” exhibition/event, organized by RCS Mediagroup, Il Corriere della Sera-Living and Studio Migliore+Servetto Architects, to be held at the Permanente art museum in Milan from 12 till 30 April;

Magis and its products will also be present:

  • at the Salone Satellite (halls 13-15) in the Rho exhibition district;
  • at the Caffè della Stampa and the Saletta Aperitivi VIP in the Centro Servizi Restaurant;
  • in the Red Lounge of the Salone, a large venue reserved for journalists, architects, designers and selected guests;
  • at the gala dinner (with Cyborg Stick chairs, designed by Marcel Wanders for Magis in 2013), organized by Safilo for 11 April at its showroom in Via Manzoni 38, to celebrate its new collaboration with Marcel Wanders;
  • at the Slamp gala dinner (with chairs First, design Stefano Giovannoni), to be held on 12 April at the Triennale’s Teatro dell’Arte, for the launch of their new collection designed by Robert Wilson.
