Magis at the exhibition BIVOUAC, Centre Pompidou, Metz (France)

The Centre Pompidou in Metz hosts the exhibition Bivouac from October, 7th 2011 to July, 30th 2012, the greatest retrospective of the works by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
Imagined as a temporary encampment – hence the name “”Bivouac”” – the exhibition is deliberately divested of scenographic elements, to let the works of the French designers stand out as the only protagonists. The visitors are invited to wander around the gallery, moving between prototypes and finished objects, mass-produced and handcrafted works displayed in a dynamic route characterised by contrasting scales, transparencies and superpositions. All the products developped by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Magis are protagonists of this exhibition, from their first project for Magis, the document holder La Valise, to the collections Striped Family and Steelwood Family, up to their most recent works, that is the table Central, the table and the chair Baguette and the low table set Tambour.
