Press Release

2012 will start for Magis with three important events:

– on January, 16th, on the occasion of the Internationale Möbel Messe, Magis will open its permanent showroom at Design Post in Cologne (Deutz-Mülheimer Strasse 22a), where the Magis classics, such as Bombo Stool (design Stefano Giovannoni), on the market for 15 years, Air-Chair (design Jasper Morrison), Chair_One (design Konstantin Grcic), Steelwood Chair (design Ronan&Erwan Bouroullec), Déjà-vu Stool (design Naoto Fukasawa), will be on display next to the most recent new items in our collections.
The creation of this permanent showroom aims to reinforce the German market, which is welcoming Magis products positively in these last years;

– Magis will participate also this year in Salon Now!Design à vivre in Paris (January, 20th-24th; Hall 8, stand D15-E16).
The French market gives, in fact, a great satisfaction to Magis, as we are obtaining constant growing results there.
Magis arrives therefore at its appointment with the Paris fair in really good form with a stand playing on lights and neutral colours – especially white – to highlight the product colours.
The stand is dominated by a horseshoe shaped central podium, whose lightness shows up trough a play of lights, making it appear hanging.
As on the walkway of a fashion show, Magis products are all placed on this podium and illuminated by a light beam coming from a light platform above it.
To complete this background a wall made up of the modular shelving system designed by Zaha Hadid;

– in February Magis will also participate as usual for many years now, in the Stockholm Furniture Fair (February, 7th-11th ; Hall A – 16:30);

– a lot of the new items launched at the last Salone del Mobile of Milano – and now available in stock – will be on display at Design Post in Cologne, at Salon Now! in Paris and also at the Furniture Fair in Stockholm, such as the modular shelving system Tide (design Zaha Hadid), the stools Tom&Jerry and the chair Venice (design Konstantin Grcic), the armchair Cyborg (design Marcel Wanders), the low chairs Magis Proust (design Alessandro Mendini) and Raviolo (design Ron Arad).

In April, on the occasion of the next Salone del Mobile, Magis will also open a showroom in Milan (Corso Garibadi, 77) , projected by Elisa and Stefano Giovannoni.
